Bible Vibes

BV! is my daily source of Bible verses. There is no better way to shake off bad vibes but to refocus on God. I’m sure for most of us, we consider the Bible as the last option on our list of books to read and ponder on — day and night. There is so much that we are missing in life because we decide based on fallacy. We believe in the wrong things when there is essentially just one truth that we have to open our eyes and ears to and that is the word of God. Through His word, we will know the truth and His truth shall set us free.

Say, scram away from bad vibes with Bible verses 🙂

To Search for Your Truth

It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.

My God, Light over Darkness

But as for me, I will look to the Lord, I will put my trust in God my savior; my God will hear me…Though I have fallen, I will arise; though I sit in darkness, the Lord is my light. The wrath of the Lord I will endure because I have sinned against Him, until He takes up my cause and establishes my right. He will bring me forth to the light; I will see His justice.   Micah 7:7-9

God Knows Me Through and Through

You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue, you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too high for me to attain. Psalm 139: 1-6

Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears, let the weak say, “I am a warrior.” Joel 3:10

I will heal their apostasy; I will love them freely for my anger has turned from them. I will be like the dew to Israel; he shall blossom like the lily; he shall take root like the trees of Lebanon; his shoots shall spread out; his beauty shall be like the olive, and his fragrance like Lebanon. They shall return and dwell beneath my shadow; they shall flourish like the grain; they shall blossom like the vine; their fame shall be like the wine of Lebanon. Hosea 14:4-7

I will espouse you to me forever: I will espouse you in right and in justice, in love and in mercy; I will espouse you in fidelity, and you shall know the Lord. Hosea 2:21-22

For thus says the Lord God: I myself will look after and tend my sheep…I will rescue them from every place where they were scattered when it was cloudy and dark. I will lead them out from among the peoples and gather them from the foreign lands… In good pastures will I pasture them, and on the mountain heights of Israel shall be their grazing ground… I myself will pasture my sheep; I myself will give them rest, says the Lord God. The lost I will seek out, the strayed I will bring back, the injured I will bind up, the sick I will heal (but the sleek and strong I will destroy) shepherding them rightly. Ezekiel 34: 11-16

Parched ground that soaks up the rain and then produces an abundance of carrots and corn for its gardener gets God’s “Well done!” Hebrew 6:7

Fear not, you shall not be put to shame; you need not blush, for you shall not be disgraced. The shame of your youth you shall forget, the reproach of your widowhood no longer remember. For He who has become your husband is your Maker; his name is the Lord of hosts; Your redeemer is the Holy one of Israel, called God of all the earth. Isaiah 54:4-5

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. John 15:16

In her bitterness she prayed to the Lord, weeping copiously…I am an unhappy woman…I was only pouring out my troubles to the Lord. 1Samuel 1:10, 15 & 16

Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. On account of these, the wrath of God is coming. In these you too once walked when you were living in them. But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth. Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator. Here these is no Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all and in all. Colossians 3:5-9

Do nothing from rivalry or conceit but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Philippians 2:3

I have confidence in this, that the one who began a good work in you will continue to complete it until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6

When the poor and needy seek water and there is none, and their tongue is parched with thirst, I, the Lord, will answer them. I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them. I will open rivers on the bare heights and fountains in the midst of the valleys. I will make the wilderness a pool of water and the dry land springs of water. I will put in the wilderness the cedar, the acacia, the myrtle and the olive. I will set in the desert cypress, the plane and the pine together that they may see and know, may consider and understand that the hand of the Lord has done this, the Holy One of Israel has created it. Isaiah 41:17-20

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

…they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagle; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

Servants, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling with a sincere heart as you would Christ, not by eye-service as people-pleasers but as servants of Christ doing the will of God from the heart, rendering service with a good will as to the Lord and not to man, knowing that whatever good anyone does, this he will receive back from the Lord…Ephesians 6:5-8

Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Ephesians 5:4-5

For a people shall dwell in Zion, in Jerusalem; you shall weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. As soon as He hears it, He answers you. And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teacher will not hide Himself anymore, but your eyes shall see your Teacher. And your ear shall hear a word behind you when you turn to the right or turn to the left, saying “This is the way, walk in it.” Isaiah 30: 19-21

You have given Him his heart’s desire and have not withheld the request of his lips. For You meet him with rich blessings; You set a crown of fine gold upon his head. What will happen to me there I do not know except that in one city after another the Holy Spirit has been warning me that imprisonment and hardship await me. And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened for you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. What father among you would hand his son a snake when he asks for a fish? Or hand him a scorpion when he asks for egg? If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?   Luke 11:9-12

Happy are those who do not follow the counsel of the wicked, nor go the way of sinners, nor sit in company with scoffers. Rather the law of the Lord is their joy; God’s law they study day and night. They are like a tree planted near streams of water that yields its fruit in season; Its leaves never wither; whatever they do they prosper. Psalm 1:1-3
